Crafting Stories, Capturing Moments

Writing and Photographing the Natural World

Animals have been part of my story since childhood in New Zealand, a passion that led me to Melbourne and, eventually, to the temperate rainforest of the upper Yarra Valley. Here, I live surrounded by the fauna and flora that continue to inspire my work.

My travels have taken me to extraordinary places — from the Arctic in search of polar bears and wolves, to Borneo’s rainforests with orang-utans and across Australia’s wild landscapes, including Kangaroo Island and Tasmania.

Years of hands-on experience in wildlife care and photography have shaped the children’s books and photographic works I create today. My aim is to invite curiosity, observation and respect for the natural world, sharing stories that educate gently, celebrate nature and encourage readers of all ages to explore and care for the creatures and places around them.

'I have just gone through most of your gallery and it is wonderful. You have a real talent of capturing the animals in just the right moment.'
